Empowering Women to Navigate Breast Cancer with Confidence, Dignity and Support
Why Hair Haven Exists
A woman's identity is more than her diagnosis.
Hair Haven Foundation was created to ensure that women facing breast cancer
never have to navigate hair loss, financial strain, or emotional isolation alone. Our founder, Cherael Wynn-Ross, saw firsthand how a woman’s confidence can shift during treatment — and how dignity, community, and support can restore hope.

We exist to help women feel whole again.
“Every woman deserves to feel seen, supported, and beautiful through her journey.”
— Cherael Wynn-Ross, Founder

OUR MISSION
To empower women navigating breast cancer with resources, education, and compassionate support that restore dignity, confidence, and emotional well-being throughout their hair loss journey.
Hair Haven Foundation supports women undergoing chemotherapy by providing resources, education, and financial assistance to help them navigate hair loss with dignity and confidence. While hair retention isn’t guaranteed, our work focuses on restoring identity, autonomy, and emotional well-being. Through innovation, advocacy, and culturally responsive care, we ensure every woman has the opportunity to thrive — not just survive.

WHY HAIR MATTERS
Hair Isn’t Vanity — It’s Identity
For Black women, hair is history, heritage and healing.
Confidence
Identity
Connection
Hair is deeply connected to beauty, culture, and self-esteem — especially for Black women. Losing it can reshape how a woman sees herself and how the world responds to her. That’s why we center dignity, identity, and emotional well-being in every part of our support.
We help women navigate this transition with compassion, resources, and identity-affirming tools — so you never walk this journey alone.
“Hair carries our stories — losing it shouldn’t erase who we are.”

Why We Started
When I battled breast cancer, I struggled to find resources that helped me navigate hair loss — especially as a Black woman juggling work, family, and life.
I spent hours searching for answers, piecing together information, and trying to hold onto who I was — physically, emotionally, and culturally.
I built Hair Haven Foundation so women would never have to do that alone.
We are creating a space where beauty, identity, and dignity are protected — every step of the way.
“No woman should have to rebuild her identity alone.”
